Expertia

At Lauaxeta, we see the Ikastola as an open space. So the Expertia programme, which we run at Lauaxeta Ikastola throughout the school year, involves many different social actors coming here to share their knowledge and experience with the students, addressing a variety of topics. What they all have in common is that an external social actor shares their life experience with the students of Lauaxeta Ikastola.

What is the Expertia programme?

The Expertia programme is a meeting point with different experts who offer the students their knowledge, based on their own first-hand experience.

Short sessions are given as part of the Ikastola’s educational project, making the most of the technical knowledge and professional experience of external actors, the families and former students, so that the learning process of today’s students will be more meaningful.

What are the aims of the Expertia programme?

• To improve the students’ skills, benefiting from the technical and professional knowledge of the families and former students.
• To enhance the students’ understanding of different aspects such as types of careers and skills, through first-hand personal experiences described by people from outside the school.
